This hotel was very convenient for the old city centre of Split - just a 10min walk. Also within an easy walk was the park of Marjan Hill and the famous Poljud Stadium. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
The convenient location of the hotel was offset by the fact that it was not an ideal holiday location due to its lack of good views to enjoy, and the immediate surroundings were somewhat scruffy.

Rooms are clean and folks there are nice but, boy, the hotel is in the miMddle of nowhere... Lost behind the stadium and sunk amongst some high rises belonging to a long gone pas... Thank god split is a small town...

This hotel has a great location, with a supermarket nearby and easy access to a historic town center, only a short walk away. the rooms are simple but clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. the air conditioning works perfectly and the free WiFi connection is reliable.
One of the downsides of this hotel is that breakfast is not the best. Although there are some options available, it lacks variety and quality, with no fresh fruit or good quality coffee.

Excellent staff, good value for money, good breakfast- all in all an excellent choice for the money
The coffee was pretty awful- need a decent coffee making machine.

The manager/owner is extremely friendly when you get to know him and he and his staff are very helpful. The hotel is situated about ten minutes from the centre and 10-15 from the best panorama point in the town. Beaches are further away: 25-30 minutes on foot. We stayed a week and were thoroughly satisfied with everything.
The hotel caters mainly for one and two day city-hoppers so breakfast was simple and plain with no variety - only boring for longer stays. The hotel is situated surrounded by high-rise and rather ugly buildings but we never felt uncomfortable (the natives are friendly!).

I had such a pleasant stay at this hotel! the staff were incredibly helpful, offering us refreshments on arrival and even storing our bags for us. Secondly, the location was perfect, just a short walk to the main center of town and conveniently close to a supermarket. Lastly, the room was modern, clean, and had the best air-conditioning system I've ever experienced. this hotel was excellent value for money.
All was great, nothing to improve.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was good quality and varied. In terms of location, the hotel was close to the city center and offered free parking.
The hotel was very difficult to find due to poor signage and lack of information provided on its location. the surrounding area was run-down and didn't feel safe, particularly at night.

A great place with fantastic service in a different location. It might look like the location is a bit off but it's only a 10 minute walk to the center. You might even see real where real inhabitants live on the way.

We had a fantastic stay at the Villa Marjela. We took a taxi from the airport and arrived at 10 am. The staff were fantastic and let us leave our bags in our room as the previous guests had just left. They offered us another room to take a shower in should we wish as there were about to clean our room. The hotel is a short walk (no more than 10 minutes) into the centre of Split, its a very safe residential area and we returned late at night. There is a beach just past the ferry port which we really enjoyed. The hotel also told us where to hire bikes and recommended a nice route around the penninsula with some beaches to stop off at - this was fantastic. We really loved this hotel and will definitely be back!
